Probiotics & Prebiotics

Probiotics & Prebiotics

QUESTION:

The subject of Prebiotics and how more and more NDs Nutritionists, and some enlightened MDs say that taking a Probiotic without a Prebiotic is a complete waste of $$$. Companies like Standard Process offer a separate Prebiotic and some company's combine the two. I'd like to hear from the developer of your products relative to the importance of a Prebiotic.

WADE’s RESPONSE:

HI, There’s a strong argument that a lot of colonizing strains of bacteria simply don’t work and I would agree with them. When generalizing with Probiotics and Prebiotics you can build a case on both sides of the fence and both cases would be right because they are proving their own cognitive biases. One of the reasons we developed P3-OM is that’s it’s not a colonizer, has prebiotics in the form of a stabilized hypoallergenic rice bran, and has been proving by Patent Studies to be maintainable in the Gastrointestinal tract. (See patent here: ) Personally, I think everyone should could consume a high prebiotic diet in order to maintain the flora the currently have. Ideally the best prebiotics are based on food from your local environment and suitable to your genetic makeup and optimized dietary program. That’s one of the reasons why P3-OM is so versatile and supported by so many different people as it’s been strategically scientifically designed to have capabilities that regular strains simply don’t elicit. That’s why it’s patented. I do believe that the future of Probiotics and Prebiotics will mean that customized enhanced probiotics in sustainable Prebiotic bases are the future. Essentially we’re just getting started in this field and I’m excited that so much attention is being put in this direction. Hope that helps. Wade
