Questions:

Hi there! My family has some digestive issues and I'm trying to figure out the best products for us. I just listened to the 2 episodes of the IF Podcast where Wade was a guest and so I know that you all can help Here is the low down on what I think our relevant symptoms/history might be. (I'm guessing this will get kind of long, so thank you so much in advance for reading it!!!) 44 years old- History of Candida (eczema and severe food allergies as a child)- Continue to have dry skin/heal cracking- History of Infertility (took a long time to have our son - not trying to have more, just some background)- Heavy Periods and lots of cramping- Low Thyroid performance (tired a lot, cold, weak fingernails and hair, not super motivated)- Cellulite (current weight 127) I have been doing some form of intermittent fasting for almost 6 months. I started with 5 hour windows, tried a couple of 40 hour fasts, but didn't experience any weight loss - weight then was 132 with a goal of 123. About a month ago, started Weight Watchers with a 6-8 hour window and have lost 5 pounds Just got a yeast infection, so I know I have current candida issues. 47 years old.- history of crappy crappy diet (lots of soda/white bread/fast food/etc as a kid/teenager/young adult). Cleaned up around age 30- Very gray hair - started graying early - around 27-30, now full gray and receding quite a lot- Keratosis Pilaris (sp?) on arms- skin gets very red when going in fresh or salt water or hot showers (it seems like extra compared to others)- Skin just looks old - this is hard to explain, but if you think of someone who is 75 ish years old and think about their coloring, I feel like that is what his face/hairline is starting to look like- Bulging eyes- Snores (unless he tapes his mouth at night)- Had a severe concussion nearly 2 years ago and continues to have symptoms of confusion, memory, slow thinking- Takes a long time to poop / occasionally constipated- Anxiety from stress easily (daily) - mostly at work, but sometimes at home too.- Oddly, he is a very avid skier and mountain biker (adrenaline) and feels better with these activities. So, despite all of the above, he can still perform at a high level with many physical activities.
10 years old- slight skin issues as a baby including cradle cap- cracking on the bottom of his feet (fungus, I think)- stomach aches with stress (usually from school), but sometimes on the weekends- current ear infection (gone through 3 different kinds of antibiotics - the 3rd one seems to be helping the infection, but his ears are still plugged after 2 full weeks- Keratosis Pilaris on arms and legs (very dry skin all over)- mouth breather/snores/grinds teeth - we are working on taping his mouth at night to get into the habit of breathing through his nose.- picky eater - prefers Mac & Cheese/Pizza/white tortillas... :( I can get him to eat better, but it is generally with a battle.- Cracked toenails (very dry and prone to breaking off and down the middle) Ok - that is everything - sorry for the length. I would love to get your recommendations (understanding that you are not a doctor and can't give medical advice) for products/dosage and how long you think it might take to notice a difference. Thank you again for your thoughts. I really appreciate it and enjoyed listening to you on the podcasts.

Wade's Response:

Thanks for reaching out. Health and disease often start in the gut and a person’s microbiome often leads people to select various types of diets both healthy and non-healthy. P3-OM is the best resource for killing off bad bacteria and balancing the microbiome. MassZymes is fantastic for breaking down undigested proteins as well as other food products. Gluten Guardian is for the ingestion of getting any gluten inflammation out of the system. In 47 yr old's case, it could be an HCL issue. I would suggest adding a couple of caps after meals. So 3 MassZymes before a meal or 3 gluten guardians if it has dairy or gluten. 4 P3-OM before bed. 1-2 HCL’s after meals. It usually takes 90 days to get this corrected. Lots of water, and increase Essential Fatty Acid consumption with DHA I use Udo’s oil with DHA or oils by Activation. Finally, for you, fasting isn’t enough, if you want to optimize your physique, daily training is required. The easiest method is the Cellerciser daily which will likely make the most difference and second would be resistance training at least 3 times per week.
