I am so grateful to have heard Wade on the intermittent fasting podcast recently, and Sheila- thank you so much for your beautiful energy and helping me by sending this email and information over to Wade. I have attached my most recent lab work below and will try to be as brief as possible in explaining my digestive issues.....
To summarize, my digestive issues started 8 months ago, as I started experiencing loose bowel movements with bleeding. I do have a history of internal hemorrhoids, and so I assumed the bleeding was due to hemorrhoid inflammation/irritation. This continued for over 6 months, before I decided to seek some help.
For years, my diet has mostly been plant based with healthy fats. I avoid gluten and dairy. I have been tested for food allergies, and all has come back negative, but my body seems to feel better without gluten and dairy.
Based on my lab work and symptoms, my healthcare provider suggested a microbiome dysbiosis and the course of treatment has been anti-microbial therapy with a probiotic called VSL3 for a total dosage of 450 Billion. Additionally, I use a capsule of Beta-TCP before each meal for better fat absorption/metabolism support. Per the lab work, I may have fatty stool or fat malabsorption. Additionally, I am now on a low FODMAP diet, which has been the biggest challenge for me of all, since I love eating plant based, and am now eating meats every day. I also follow an intermittent fasting lifestyle, and eat for 4-6 hrs per day.
Unfortunately, this course of treatment hasn’t helped, although to be fair it’s only been 4-6 weeks...I did hope to have some improvement at this time though...
I’m still experiencing loose bowels with bleeding and according to my healthcare provider, what I’m seeing is also “intestinal tissue”, which I thought was mucous....
I was so inspired by listening to you, Wade on the podcast, and I felt compelled to reach out. I would love your guidance in helping me find the appropriate products for improving my digestive issues.
